Dress Codes

In many schools the students wear schooluniforms to show that they were like each other. I think the most of the students don't like this uniforms because they want to show her own style.
But there is a big problem, some kids which haven't so much money to wear always Nike, Adidas or Puma Shirts could be mobbed. If all kids wear schooluniforms this doesn't matter.

In my opinion schooluniforms are nonsense because so you can't show your own style.
Besides the parents of the kids can't wash the uniform every day and so the clothes start to smell!

Book Report - ACROSS THE BARRICADES

I'm preparing a book report about the book "across the barricades" by "joan lingard".
Let me tell you somethings about this book.

the author:
Joan Lingard was born in Edinburgh but grew up in Belfast where she lived until she was eighteen. She began writing when she was eleven, and has never wandet to be anything other than a writer. She is the author of more than twenty novels for young people an twelve for adults. Joan Lingard has three grown-up daughters and one grandson, and lives in Edinburgh with her Canadian husband.

the book:

The main characters are Kevin, a catholic boy and Sadie, a protestant girl.

Sadie and Kevin become friends, but their parents doesn’t like that they are seeing each other, because of the reason that she is a Protestant and he is a Catholic. Everyone has something to say about their relationship.
Neighbours start to talk, and their friends turn their backs to them.
Everything seems to go the wrong way for Kevin and Sadie. One day Kevin and Sadie runs into Sadie’s old geography teacher. He is very kind to them, and lets them meet each other at his place. Sadie starts to work for him, and she soon finds new friends in him and some of his neighbours.

If you want to know more about the book you can borrow it from the Hak library!

Waldhausen im Strudengau

Waldhausen is a community in the district of Perg and it has about 3500 inhabitants. Our mayor's name is Franz Schaumüller and he is a member of the Social Democrats.

Waldhausen is about 25 kilometres away from Perg. I think Waldhausen has four neighbour communities: Dimbach, Dorfstetten, St. Nikola and St. Oswald.
We have a good bus service to Perg or to Linz.

What I like in my community is that everybody knows everybody, because Waldhausen isn't very big. I like that the people here are very friendly, too. If I were a local politician I would build an open air swimming poll and next to it a beachvolleyball ground I would also like to have a night club in the middle of the community.
